Farm to School is busy building spring school gardens! Each spring, our program funds raised beds, soil, seedling and seeds for participating ACPS schools. Currently, we have 57 garden beds at 17 schools. Garden Champions at each school incorporate garden activities into their science, nutrition and math lesson plans, giving students hands-on learning experiences while connecting them to fresh, local food. Their harvests are used as an educational taste test or are served in school meals.
