Students are enjoying purple sweet potato wedges this morning thanks to two young farmers in Putnam County. Brett and Lane Singleton (13 and 15) decided to grow these, working after school and weekends at their family’s farm, Singleton and Sons.
Some of our school gardens grew sweet potatoes over the summer, and we are excited to connect these young growers with ours.
