He tried it!
Our kale farmer, Nando Roberts, visited Foster elementary school to sign his trading card and encourage them to give the kale salad a try. Nando’s farm “Santa Fe Organics” produces all of the kale for our school lunches during the growing season: October – May. It’s fresh, organic, grown right down the road in Alachua.
The students were thrilled to meet the farmer. And we were happy to see how much kale salad they ate that day! You can try out our recipe at home!
