One of our favorite jobs out here at the Farm to School Hub is connecting with students – through fresh, local produce served every day in school meals, but also on field trips and school garden visits. Each year we host over 300 field trippers who spend a couple of hours enjoying farm activities, a nutrition and wellness lesson, and an opportunity to make their own healthy, fresh-from-the-farm snack. In addition, we support 15 school gardens around the county whom we love assisting with their first harvest.

Because so many of these students are at home and unable to visit right now, we thought we would put together a video tour of what’s happening at our large garden and orchard at the Hub. Today we want to share our larkspur patch before the heat gets to it! It’s beauty has given us joy all spring, and it’s been keeping some bees very happy too.
