What a great time we had last Saturday when over 200 people came to see our Farm to School to Work Hub!  There was delicious food, interesting garden demonstrations, a fun honeybee presentation, and lot of great networking and communing by folks interested in building a healthy local food system while creating jobs for people looking for good work.

Return of the honeybees

A big thanks to all the folks who came out to see what our students are doing in this program and to learn about our hopes for the future!

And to the vendors who helped draw the crowd and create a fun, festive, and informative atmosphere: Forage Farms, Berry Good Farms, Sun State Organics, Gainesville Compost, Fat Tuscan Catering, 10-Can Wounded Veterans, The Real Deal, and Chappie McChesney.

And to our sweet musicians – Florida Pure and Simple – who “played for food” and created just the right soundtrack.
